The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

The Facilities Construction Project Manager will be responsible for leading project construction and design coordination efforts supporting facilities factory, labs, office and support spaces for manufacturing and engineering developments.

The position is based out of Tucson Airport/Air Force Site in Tucson, Arizona, as well as supporting a sites in New Mexico (Southwest Region).

What You Will do:

  • Lead/manage facility construction projects with teams that include Facilities Engineers, Architects, outside 3rd party consultants and construction superintendents.
  • Coordinate with respective Facilities Mgrs. and site supervision for construction project planning and resource allocation alignment.
  • Consult with construction project team on critical issues involving engineering disciplines.
  • Relay and coordinate all decisions made regarding project priorities, design and construction.
  • Manage the administrative, financial and design elements of a project including EAC’s and schedule.
  • Establish in advance construction project requirements/scope and deliverables in collaboration with the customer, management, and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, customers and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Validate estimates of the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Draft and submit budget baselines and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools identify and manage project dependencies and critical path and develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in construction project scope, identify potential risks and opportunities, and devise contingency plans.
  • Fully document and close-out project records, schedules and financials in a timely manner.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • This role typically requires a Bachelor of Science in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or other related degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in management of construction of vertical and/or horizontal projects, which may include managing building maintenance and construction project objectives, EAC’s, schedules and quality control through project closure.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with and working knowledge of construction techniques and the ability to read construction drawings and specifications including experience and knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry regulations and practices as well as working knowledge of Building Codes and local amendments.
  • At least 3 years’ experience leading and managing a successful team to include: scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of construction including managing/overseeing multiple construction projects across multiple sites.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to conduct research into project-related issues and products.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Project Management Certification (such as PMP, CAPM, Raytheon Tier Training or PgMP) and FIT (Functional Integration Team) Tool and process.
  • Strong familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Experience and working knowledge of manufacturing, engineering and office facility operations.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
