Job Title: New Business Sales Manager – Buy Side

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in-office in NYC)

Salary Range: $155,000 – $165,000

We are seeking a results-driven New Business Sales Manager to focus on Buy Side clients within the financial data intelligence sector. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with deep industry insight into hedge funds, asset managers, and institutional investors. You’ll play a central role in a high-growth initiative, responsible for generating new revenue and expanding market share in a competitive and evolving landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect, qualify, and secure new business from Buy Side clients, managing a strong pipeline where no prior relationships exist
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to tailor solutions that address client goals and operational challenges
  • Partner with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) for smooth lead handoffs and optimized client engagement throughout the sales cycle
  • Deliver compelling, client-specific presentations grounded in industry knowledge and solution expertise
  • Maintain accurate CRM records to track pipeline activity, manage sales performance, and ensure transparency
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, contributing to overall revenue growth and strategic objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B sales with a strong focus on Buy Side clients such as hedge funds, asset managers, and asset owners
  • Track record of exceeding quotas and driving new client acquisition
  • Strong consultative sales skills with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and comfort working with CRM tools to drive data-informed decisions
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior-level stakeholders and articulate complex solutions clearly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of trends in financial data, analytics, or fintech sectors
  • Experience in OTC derivatives markets
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools to support insights and opportunity mapping
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with experience working across departments
  • Agile mindset with the ability to thrive under changing conditions and high-performance expectations
