Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 Food - Schools for a potential new child nutrition partnership with public schools in Gering, NE. The General Manager will direct all contract food management service operations for the district. This is a potential sale, and contingent offers will be made. Candidate must be able to travel occasionally for meetings and training needs. Our successful candidate will excel at financial acumen, employee engagement and have an excellent ability to deal with parent's and client's concerns. Strong attention to our students in critical to success in the role, and the ability to adjust communication styles, so that the students, parents and clients understand that we and we here to support them in their education.

What You'll Do

• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
• Have exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
• Create a positive work environment through employee training and development
• IManage ordering, scheduling, menu planning, on-site HR, ensure nutritional compliance
• Develop exceptional client relations and ensure the campus food service program goals align with client needs

What You Bring

• Exceptional experience writing budgets
• Very strong financial acumen, and P&L budget experience
• Valid driver's license with a clear driving record is required
• Knowledge of client contracts and ability to ensure compliance
• The ability to keep your employees engaged and happy at work
• The ability to manage positive interactions with students, parents, faculty and staff

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant experience in school nutrition programs
