Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Industrial HVAC Technician with a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, and installing HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be skilled in working with large-scale equipment such as chillers, boilers, rooftop units (RTUs), and ventilation systems, and will demonstrate strong diagnostic and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, air handlers, VRF systems, exhaust fans, and make-up air units.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems across commercial and industrial sites.
• Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems using specialized tools and instruments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and control schematics.
• Work with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and adjust controls to ensure proper operation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and local mechanical codes.
• Document service and maintenance activities using work orders and reporting systems.
• Respond to emergency calls and troubleshoot issues in a timely, professional manner.
• Coordinate with contractors, facility managers, and site engineers when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC trade certification or apprenticeship program completion preferred.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Familiarity with industrial-grade HVAC equipment including chillers, cooling towers, and large air distribution systems.
• Experience with energy management and control systems (BAS/BMS).
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
