Job Description:
Location: Naugatuck, Connecticut
CoWorx Staffing Services is looking for experienced Assemblers to join a local manufacturing company in Naugatuck, CT. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembler to perform repetitive bench or assembly operations to produce, inspect, and test wire and cable harnesses or subcomponents.
Responsibilities:
Receive verbal instructions and interpret work instructions, drawings, and Job Control packet documents to carry out tasks effectively.
Accurately place harness components in the specified arrangement as per instructions.
Perform assembly tasks such as bolting, clipping, screwing, cutting, trimming, crimping, bagging, kitting, braiding, potting, molding, packing, or otherwise handling components.
Conduct visual inspections and use measuring equipment to ensure harnesses and subcomponents meet design specifications.
Perform tests on harnesses and subcomponents to verify they meet required standards and specifications.
Follow work assignments as directed, including participation in DSQR (Designated Supplier Quality Requirements) and internal auditing processes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to company safety protocols.
Desired Background/Skills:
Proven experience in assembly or manufacturing roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment for at least 6 months.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions and blueprints.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Experience with basic hand tools and assembly equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues during the assembly process.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or assembly setting is preferred.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs when necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
Other Information:
Hours:
Training – 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Once training is completed hours will be 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (2nd shift)
