Job Description

As an NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Manager, the role is an experienced position that performs complex testing assignments while directing the efforts of less experienced staff in the field. This position has diversified NDT experience and an ability to oversee complex inspection and testing to effectively deliver comprehensive specialized testing that evaluates the quality, integrity, and safety of materials and structures. You may also travel to various job sites and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Qualifications

You are passionate about:

  • Supervises and leads staff in the field and accurately performs detailed NDT work involving documentation, supervision of testing and inspection activities, and calibration of equipment.
  • Reviews and interprets project plans and specifications and recommends best approach for completing NDT assignments.
  • Drafts and submits project summary reports and ensures timeliness and accuracy of data reported.
  • Assists with the preparation of job work scopes, project estimates, and job proposals and may provide NDT recommendations.
  • Attends client meetings and acts as a resource for clients regarding problem resolution.
  • May prepare for and administer the preconstruction conference and other project meetings.
  • Works in all types of terrain and weather conditions and on project sites in various stages of construction.
  • Identifies and avoids potential safety hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites.

You bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Associate degree in Non-Destructive Testing
  • Must maintain four NDT Level II certifications
  • 10 years of experience in construction observation, inspection, or surveying
  • Must have CWI and ICC Bolting Technician certifications
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
