Summary of Position:

This role will entail working on Oracle’s E-Business Suite modules: Oracle Financial modules (Payables, Receivables, General Ledger, Cash Management, EBTax, Payments, iExpense, iReceivables, Collections, Report Manager, Subledger Accounting), Purchasing, Order Management, Iventory, Cost Management and Advanced Pricing, iProcurement, Web Applications Desktop Integrator via the detailed analysis, design and implementation of Request for Change and project work. Deep technical skills are required to implement solutions identified by the business. The Oracle Technology Functional Analyst will work closely with the SR IT Project Manager to communicate progress on schedule, tasks and deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding business requirements that relate to oracle Applications and the development and maintenance of technical solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Provide functional application support in a production environment and during enhancement and upgrade projects regarding Oracle Applications
  • Provide user support including application set-ups, functional definition and design, coordinating problem resolution and identifying and coordinating inefficient programs/forms/reports
  • Proactively work with business users to identify and uncover reporting requirements; facilitate education as necessary to help business users understand the realm of possibilities
  • Provide project leadership and functional expertise in an Oracle Applications ERP environment to support business processes and objectives
  • Develop effective working relationships within IT and with business end-users

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Accounting with 9+ years of ERP and 1+ years of CRM experience.
  • Minimum five years functional experience with Oracle EBS R 12 (preferred modules: AP, AR, GL, CM, OE, PO, INV, OIE, IBY, CST, Ebtax, Subledger Accounting)
  • Minimum two years development/analysis in an Oracle applications environment
  • Minimum five years designing and developing reports in an ERP environment (plus if experience with BI Publisher)
  • Strong skills in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; Experience in joining complex table structures from multiple modules and applications
  • Must have knowledge and experience with XML Publisher, Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports (Version 6i, 9i, 10g or 11g)
  • Familiarity with Oracle workflow
  • Must have knowledge of TOAD, SQL*Loader and UNIX/Linux
  • Experience in Oracle 9i/10g/11g
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent problem solver with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively working with technical and business leadership. Enjoys fast paced & challenging environments
  • Should be able to work across cross functional teams

Accountabilities:

  • Work towards continuous improvement of the system to improve business processes
  • Maintain thorough understanding of current and future business systems needs
  • Define Project specifications
  • Undertake other activities in the course of systems implementation
  • Maintain strong relationships
  • Must be a leader of continual learning with the various SalesForce and Oracle ERP modules and user community
  • Must be a leader within the team and provide direction to new SMEs
  • Assist operational team with business support and issue resolution
  • Provide high reliability and availability of IT systems
  • Identify system improvements to streamline business operations
  • Ensure that IT systems meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications

Relationships:

  • Reports Directly to the ERP Manager
  • Works directly with IT Project Manager
  • Works with all ERP SMEs, Sales, EDI, Supply Chain and Finance teams. Interacts with both the end user community from these departments as well as the various subject matter experts (SMEs).
