We are inviting you to apply for the position of Banquet Coordinator. In this position, be responsible for overseeing event set-up and planning, assisting in training staff, and acting as a liaison between the Kalahari Events Team and our guests. Help lead staff by holding pre-function meetings that incorporate training, direction, and guidance in event details and Kalahari Standards. Be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment that hosts events of all sizes and types.
We do require that you have a background consisting of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in food service or the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property). Prior experience as a server and set-up houseperson is required. Having a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort are helpful.
