Purpose and Scope
As a M365 Viva Connections/Web Developer, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution is about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, focuses on the growth and development of individuals within a specific expertise area. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.
As a M365 Viva Connections/Web Developer, you will design, develop, deploy, and monitor Viva Connections and custom web applications for our organization. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of Viva Connections and custom web development trends, capabilities, limitations. You will create new applications as well as help delivery teams and power users. You will use your knowledge, expertise, and quick learning to stay ahead and teach others in evolving Microsoft tool ecosystem. You will provide technical support for Viva Connections, and resolve issues with external agencies and teams, business users and software vendors. You’ll also monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. The evolving use and future opportunities bring a lot of variety in your day-to-day job.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy custom websites integrated with Viva Connections and M365 tools (e.g., SharePoint Online), ensuring scalability, performance, and a seamless user experience on desktop and mobile devices.
- Maintain and enhance the existing custom websites, troubleshooting issues, implementing updates, and optimizing functionality to meet evolving business needs.
- Conduct business analyses by collaborating with stakeholders to identify core needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and iteratively refine custom web functionalities and Viva integrations using an agile approach.
- Multitask effectively across two or more projects and teams, managing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Configure and customize Viva Communications (Engage, Amplify, and Connections) using modern technologies to enhance user engagement and productivity.
- Provide expert-level technical support for MS Viva Communications, M365 integrations, and custom websites, resolving issues with business users, delivery teams, and external vendors.
- Drive adoption of Viva Communications showcasing its capabilities, conducting training sessions, and mentoring team members and power users on best practices.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of custom websites and Viva integrations, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance user experience and efficiency.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure the applications are secure, compliant, and projects adhere to SLC best practices, including managing identity and access and securing data. Generate and maintain related documentation as needed.
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support to developers and users, resolve issues, and conduct training sessions.
- Data Reporting: work with related reporting platforms to summarize data maintained in the system.
- Initiative Execution: Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.

- Reporting: Regularly report on system use to your Capability Lead, VT captain, and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining custom websites and integrating solutions with Viva Communications and M365 tools (e.g., SharePoint Online, Teams).
- Proven ability to perform business analyses, collaborating with stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions tailored to custom web and Viva needs.
- Experience multitasking across multiple projects and teams, with a track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in web development technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS, Style sheets (Responsive Design), JavaScript, React JS, SharePoint SPFX frameworks, Angular), Viva Engage APIs, and M365 integration tools.
- Strong experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure logic Apps), RESTful APIs, and maintaining custom web platforms.
- Scripting expertise in JavaScript and PowerShell, with familiarity in Python or C# as a plus.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, responsive web design, and relational databases (e.g., SQL).
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps ways of working. Experience in using Azure DevOps for continuous integration, continuous delivery, pipelines, and version control.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, security teams, business users, software vendors, and other external agencies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Investigate and resolve issues related to the application, infrastructure, or deployment pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Agile and adaptable to changing environments and project scopes, with a commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Viva Communications, Microsoft 365, or web development-related fields.
- Supporting large-scale custom web applications.
