Spherion is seeking two highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technicians to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for executing and monitoring quality and food safety activities within the facility, including routine product testing, compliance monitoring, and maintaining quality and food safety standards. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Pay $20/hour

Training is Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM (8-10 weeks)

Shifts after training will be 1st: 6AM - 6:30PM or 3rd: 6:00PM - 6:30AM on a 2-2-3 rotation!

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor facility compliance with regulatory, corporate, GMP, SQF, and sanitation standards.
  • Support safety and environmental initiatives per corporate and legal requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date quality and food safety manuals aligned with corporate and SQF standards.
  • Perform environmental swabs (ATP/microbiological) and analyze results.
  • Conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical product testing.
  • Perform product label and weight verifications.
  • Deliver quality and food safety training for plant personnel.
  • Support the implementation of food safety policies and systems.
  • Assist in third-party audit preparations and inspections.
  • Support production during plant and product trials.
  • Help evaluate consumer complaints and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and oversee plant HACCP program compliance.
  • Coordinate disposition and rework of quality hold products.
  • Keep Leadership informed of all QA and sanitation concerns.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Quality Assurance Experience: Prior experience in a QA or food production environment preferred.
  • Testing Proficiency: Ability to conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical testing procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills for monitoring compliance and identifying quality issues.
  • Technical Documentation: Experience maintaining manuals and documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze data and assist in corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with team members and leadership.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems.
  • Training Ability: Comfortable delivering food safety and quality training to plant personnel.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work various shifts and respond to production needs.
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (e.g., lifting samples, swabbing equipment).
