Surfactants are a fundamental raw material for our Home Care, Beauty & Wellbeing and Personal Care businesses across all UL regions. Surfactants procurement is managed by the Global Materials portfolio. The surfactants supply chain is spread across many regions with a large number of global, regional and local suppliers.

Managing the surfactants portfolio successfully requires very deep understanding of the value chain, including feedstock / raw materials, logistics, local duties and taxes, energy, utilities, and many more.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Deliver Procurement Key Performance Indicators such as value improvement programs, innovation delivery, payment terms extension, cost target, gross margin improvement, traceability & sustainability, in line with sourcing strategies and compliance management.
  • Lead execution of :
    • Transformative, resilience and innovation projects in LATAM, NA, EU: Develop contingency plans and alternative materials and/or suppliers to secure key materials, collaborate with R&D, market teams and suppliers.
    • Complexity reduction projects in LATAM & NA; continuously improve ways of working.
    • Procurement basics, e.g. CLM / SAP contracts creation & updates, SQA/RS, specifications, vendor master data, cash reporting, invoices resolution (P2P).
    • Tasks to support Unilever’s NDPE continuity.
  • Execute price forecast, incl. comprehensive understanding of price, volumes, spend; improve supplier cost models to enhance transparency of cost drivers, maintain price accuracy.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager with the tendering process, benchmarking, and total cost analysis.
  • Monitor volumes, price and spend actuals and forecasts.
  • Ensure material availability by working closely with suppliers and consuming countries.
  • Lead and support cost savings initiatives in line with sourcing strategies and compliance management.
  • Support the management and maintenance of supplier relationships and internal relationships with market teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degreed.
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience in Procurement, preferably with experience in raw materials/chemicals.
  • Excellent Excel skills are absolute non-negotiable
  • Nice to have experience/knowledge in AI basic tools
