Position Description:

Designs and develops software applications using Java, J2EE, SpringBoot, Angular/AngularJS, and REST Services. Implements software development methodologies in an Agile environment. Deploys software applications in a DevOps environment, using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools -- Jenkins, Jira, and Docker. Follows secure codes standards and practices to build and review codes. Reviews and runs test automation frameworks and solutions using Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and tools -- JUnit, Jasmine, and Karma. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing end-to-end software solutions in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing end-to-end software solutions in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing Web applications features for multi-tier financial systems using backend technologies (Java, Spring Boot, and C#), frontend technologies (Angular and JavaScript), and databases (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) in a financial services environment; and performing manual testing using Postman and automated testing using Selenium.
  • DE building middle-tier applications to enable real-time communication between software applications and the dependent applications, using Cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services (AWS)); and configuring, monitoring, and setting observability for software applications, using Datadog, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • DE designing and configuring CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven, Artifactory, and Jenkins; deploying applications built using Java or Angular and hosted on Cloud Solutions (AWS); and analyzing, designing, and implementing code, performing code reviews, conducting functional testing and post-installation validation, according to Agile methodologies, using JIRA and Git.
  • DE designing testing cases and testing scripts according to functional specifications and user requirements; streamlining the development process to improve accuracy, accelerate testing cycles, and deliver high-quality software, using Jira, Confluence, and SonarQube; and developing automation tests using automation tools (Selenium WebDriver), writing unit tests using JUnit, and performing unit testing within TestNG frameworks.

Salary: $129,375.00 - $139,375.00 /year.
