At Thales Cyber Security Products BL, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to complete our multinational team, based in Prague, Czechia. The aim of this organisation is to define and develop our new generation of Authentication cloud services. From the user’s story definition until the deployment of the solution in production you will participate to define, develop, maintain and deploy the solution components.

Job requirements:

• 5+ years of engineering experience with Java (21+), Gradle and/or Maven, Gitlab, CI/CD.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Solid knowledge of software engineering and development lifecycle best practices, such as coding standards/reviews, source control, and build processes.
• Excellent communication skills. Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English.
• Ability to thrive in Agile environments, adapting to iterative workflows and collaborative teams.

Bonus points for:

• Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, Helm charts.
• Knowledge of reactive programming
• Non-dogmatic approach to software testing, balancing pragmatism and thoroughness to ensure high-quality code without unnecessary complexity.
