Main tasks and responsibilities:
To plan, execute and report the validation tests of components or systems assigned to the department securing quality, cost and delivery while following safety, management instructions and internal procedures at all times.
- Test planning:
- To study Project documents and get test requests.
- To study Project documents and get test requests.
- To consider the use of test facilities and resources available (in-house or in suppliers). To design the necessary test jigs when necessary.
- To discuss and agree test specifications and judgement criteria (according Project requirements, internal procedures and own knowledge).
- To prepare detailed test plan and countermeasures as necessary.
- Test execution:
- To support technically and coordinate test technicians and engineering companies during test preparation.
- To follow up the test progress, data acquisition, calculation and safety countermeasures according plan.
- To include adjustments or countermeasures during test to meet the targets.
- To support test technicians during test execution.
- Test reporting:
- To prepare the documents to report to the organization clearly and shortly at agreed timing.
- To read the test results correctly and propose test judgement objectively against test criteria.
- Finally to prepare TEST REPORT as written evidence of job done and support test judgement with consistent data for future reference.
- In case of NG (non-conformity test result) propose potential countermeasures.
Background and experience:
- Degree or Master in Engineering (specialty: mechanical or materials).
- No proven experience required (as graduate position) however enthusiasm for mechanical engineering and excellent engineering intuition is necessary. Ability to discuss technical subject.
- Learning and improving attitude at all times.
- Collaborative work, communication and management skills.
- High level Spanish and English language (French also interesting but not mandatory).
- Availability to travel, including long stay overseas.
- Good knowledge of Windows office environment.
