Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (South Tower, The Gardens)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Energy Component tools and products (Oil & Gas Domain) as part of
  • Agile development team & working in collaboration with global team
  • Apply large amount of experience in area of front-end or back-end technologies
  • Identify problems with the product team and process and investigate potential causes.
  • Suggest improvements to technology and tools and investigate implementations.
  • Communicating any risks, bottlenecks in the delivery to stakeholders.
  • Able to deliver medium-large tasks individually or with support from peers.
  • Plans and estimates delivery of medium tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining the built and release of quality source code.
  • Support and mentor peers in an ad-hoc way. Mentor new hires.
  • Work closely with team on new technology exploration according to market demands
  • Ensure the committed development and project deadline is met with quality.
  • Any other task/s assigned by the Company as and when necessary.

Requirements – Education and Qualifications

  • Preferably a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or
  • related course in computers/technology.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience as Full Stack Software Developer
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in programming JAVA/J2EE

Requirements – Skills and Specifications

  • Detail oriented, proven ability to work effectively both independently and in team-based
  • environment.
  • Ensure the committed project deadline is met with quality.
  • Team player, good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have good knowledge of Java
    • Excellent Core java knowledge: Collections, Serialization, Exception Handling,
    • String pool, enum
    • Excellent understanding of object-oriented design patterns
    • Experience in Java/JEE client and server technologies
    • Knowledge of writing unit test cases using JUnit
    • Automated software testing tools (Selenium) using Java
  • Experience in database development, design, and improvement within the Oracle
  • PLSQL
  • Experience in development knowledge on XML, HTML, JavaScript, REST APIs
  • Knowledge of container such Rancher, docker swarm and Kubernetes is an advantage.

  • Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Malaysia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable.
