The Director of Strategic Digital Marketing and Communications will support the University College, including Adult Degree Completion and MTSU Online administration and staff to create digital marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing enrollment and retaining students. Responsible for developing and executing advanced digital marketing strategies and tactics that drive tangible results. Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and reports on marketing performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Develop creative and digital content and translate innovative ideas into executable marketing campaigns and keep up to date with latest digital media trends, tools, and best practices. Works independently to conduct research, interview students, faculty, staff, and external constituents to write and publish copy for marketing through media and university publications. Manage, monitor, and analyze website traffic, user behavior, and digital marketing metrics to optimize campaigns and drive engagement. The position works in collaboration with the Vice President and University Marketing and Communications department to ensure actions and initiatives are in sync with broader university goals and directives and that the college is connected with the division’s resources and opportunities.
Master's degree in marketing, digital media, communications, journalism or related field, or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree can serve in lieu of Master's degree with 5 years direct experience.
Five (5) years of digital marketing experience managing multiple social, web, and email marketing campaigns in a professional work environment
