Join our facilities team where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our buildings and grounds. This position combines hands-on maintenance skills with problem-solving to ensure our facilities operate at peak performance while providing a safe, comfortable environment for all occupants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs including:
- Basic electrical work (lighting, outlets, fixtures)
- Plumbing repairs and maintenance
- HVAC filter changes and basic maintenance
- Carpentry and basic construction
- Paint touch-ups and wall repairs
- Door, window, and lock maintenance
- Grounds maintenance including:
- Landscape upkeep and seasonal preparation
- Snow removal and ice management
- Parking lot and sidewalk maintenance
- Equipment maintenance and operation
- Trash removal and recycling management
- Safety and Security:
- Conduct regular facility inspections
- Maintain emergency systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor security systems
- Respond to emergency situations
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain maintenance records and logs
- Order supplies and manage inventory
- Schedule preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with contractors
- Respond to maintenance requests
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of facility maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Available for occasional on-call duties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical/Trade school certification
- Experience with building automation systems
- HVAC certification
- Fork truck certification
- Pesticide application license
- Experience with maintenance management software
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/walking for extended periods
- Climbing ladders and working at heights
- Bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Operating maintenance equipment
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions
