OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and completion of projects related to both internal systems and customer-facing technologies. You will work with portfolio managers and product owners to capture and prioritize incoming demands, status multiple projects, and develop effective communication strategies to unify diverse and distributed work streams. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Performing all aspects of the project management life-cycle, including request, assessment, planning, execution, monitoring and optimization

o Directing moderate to large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal work streams and/or third party development partners or consultants

o Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to document project scope at the onset of the project and manage change throughout implementation

o Facilitating work breakdown structures, estimating efforts, and communicating resource needs

o Providing a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed and clearly communicating expectations to internal staff

o Resolving problems, identifying trends, and determining process/system improvements

o Scheduling and facilitating meetings with business and technical stakeholders, development teams, and company leaders

o Tracking and reporting on project milestones, executing on an established communication plan, and providing status reports to relevant work groups

o Leading, coaching and motivating project team members on a proactive basis

o Performing a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management or a related field of study OR possess 3 years of relevant IT work experience

o Possess at least 2 years of Project Management experience

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, prioritizing abilities and attention to detail

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and analytical skills

o Willingness to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in demand, scope, or priority

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Possess Project Management Professional (PMP) or any industry recognized Project Management certification

o Demonstrate proven experience leading large, cross-functional projects and/or simultaneously managing multiple projects of varying size, scope, and complexity

o Possess general IT work experience or knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban), SDLC, or IT infrastructure

o Prior work experience as a scrum master or possess scrum master certification

o Familiarity with project management tools/systems such as Smartsheets, Microsoft Project, ServiceNow ITBM, JIRA, Confluence, etc.

o Prior work experience communicating meeting facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, influencing and mediation
