The Upward Bound Summer Academy takes place on the campus of the University of New Hampshire where students live in a UNH residence hall, eat at a UNH dining hall, and attend classes in academic buildings throughout the campus. UB teachers are committed to education and to helping young people and have the opportunity to create an experiential curriculum that is both interesting and inspiring. The 2025 six-week summer program is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 22 with an end date of Friday, August 1 excluding weekends.
ECLIPSe Coaches lead 16-person student groups once a week in communication, group process and healthy decision making through experiential team building & hands-on activities. We call these activities ECLIPSe challenges (Exercises in Collaborative Learning and Innovative Problem Solving). This is a part time position that requires coming to UNH one evening a week to coach two sessions (plus dinner prior from 4:30-5:00) from 5:30-6:45 & 7:00-8:15; 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, and 7/29.
