Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking an INTERFACE ANALYST - SENIOR to join our INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY team!

The Interface Analyst will be thoroughly familiar with HL7 interface and integration language. Responsible for supporting the integration of multiple clinic and hospital interface systems. Will have a strong working knowledge of hospital clinical and administrative departments, operations and core process flows. Understands interactions and flows with administrative and financial systems. Defines specifications for complex integration of software programs/systems and applications and/or modifies/maintains complex existing software programs/systems and applications. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents HL7 interfaces. Performs project management activities. Develops detailed analysis, appropriate timelines, and testing

parameters. Maintains vendor management. Promotes excellent customer service at all levels. This position involves extensive consulting and communications with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, technologist and other clinical staff as well as clerical and administrative users, vendors, hospital management/administrative and outside agencies.

This is a remote role.

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of information systems development, implementation, and management normally acquired through completion of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or comparable industry experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of data encapsulation formats such as HL7, X12, and/or other interface or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards.
  • Knowledge of two or more 4th generation programming languages required.
  • Advanced knowledge of network transport protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and data transmission methods (FTP, rep, ssh).
  • Four to six years’ IT experience in a healthcare environment required.
  • Experience in financial and healthcare billing preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office tools (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS Visio, MS Power Point) required.
  • Experience with Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine preferred.
  • Certification in EPIC interface required within one year of employment.
  • Programming skills such as C/C++, ASP.Net, DB2, HL7, Visual Basic, JAVA, XML preferred.
  • An understanding of clinical data integration required.
  • Has a strong understanding of general principals of information systems and computer usage.
  • Has a strong working knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
  • Works toward obtaining Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS) Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) certification.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, excellent trouble shooter, and goal oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
