We are seeking experienced Sr. Java SQL Developers to join our client’s team in Houston. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact project. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in Java development and SQL, contributing to critical projects within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Sr. Java SQL Developer- - W2 only.

Location – Houston Downtown, 5 days onsite

Long term Contract

Experience Level: 8+ years experience)

Industry: Oil and Gas

Not accepting C2C, OPT, CPT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures for efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement scalable applications.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues in Java applications and database queries.
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 10+ years of experience in Java Development: Strong experience with Java 8+, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).
2. SQL & Database Management: Proficiency in SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning in databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
3. Experience writing complex SQL and Stored procedures is a MUST
4. Knowledge of heavy Springboot transactions- MUST
5. Web Services & APIs: Experience developing RESTful APIs.
6. Cloud & DevOps: Exposure to AWS, Azure, or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
7. Version Control: Proficiency with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
8. Performance Optimization: Ability to analyze and optimize Java applications and SQL queries for efficiency.
9. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
