Job Title: Patient Representative

Department: Sports Medicine

Location: Greenfield Medical Campus – Canton, NY

Hours Per Week: 40 hours/week (Full Time)

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm

SUMMARY:

Effectively utilizes electronic medical records (EMR) systems and office equipment to complete clerical duties with accuracy and efficiency. Collaborates closely with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and certified nurse midwives to support seamless patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform clerical duties, support providers, assist with billing inquiries, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Maintain professional interactions, manage referrals, and assist with patient education as needed.
  • Collect payments, balance cash drawers, resolve discrepancies, and optimize supply use.
  • Follow accreditation, state, and federal healthcare standards while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with clerical issues, process improvements, problem-solving, and participate in training.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical Terminology

PAY RANGE:

$18.70 - $27.44

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
