Job Title: Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing mechanical and electrical repairs on food production equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on food production equipment.
  • Provide emergency repairs during production and conduct scheduled maintenance during machine service.
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair packaging and production machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Conduct plumbing maintenance and electrical functions.
  • Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations and defective materials, reporting unusual situations to supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • 3+ years of experience in preventive maintenance.
  • 3+ years of experience in blueprint reading, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of maintenance experience in a high-speed production environment.

Work Environment

This position operates within a GMP food manufacturing company, where you will work in refrigerated areas maintained at temperatures between 30-40 degrees. The shift runs from 10 pm to 6 am, offering a structured schedule and an opportunity to contribute to a trusted custom meat supplier.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
