DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will oversee, analyze, and support procurement-related activities throughout the department by establishing and implementing policies, delivering training, and fostering communication with all bureaus and field offices within the PSP. Your role will include collaborating with various Pennsylvania entities, such as the Department of General Services, the Office of Administration, the Office of Chief Counsel, the Comptroller’s Office, Integrated Enterprise Systems (IES), PSP fiscal units, and all PSP troops and stations. This position involves providing thorough support, guidance, and analytical expertise across all business areas. It requires working independently with minimal supervision while performing supervisory duties and conducting performance evaluations in accordance with organizational policies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $66,250.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Procurement Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of professional experience performing contract management work; and a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience in complex procurements.
  • You must have experience using JAGGAER, Oracle, Zycus, SAP, or other similar system.
  • You must be willing to work onsite full-time. Teleworking is not an option as part of this position's work schedule.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass criminal history and background investigations if you do not have a current Pennsylvania State Police background on file.
  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
