Part-Time, 20 hours per week - Saturday & Sunday, 6:45am-3:15pm, Tuesday, 4:45pm-8:45pm
OR
Part-Time, 20 hours per week - Sunday, 10am-3pm, Monday & Tuesday, 5pm-10pm, Saturday, 8am-4:30pm
Acts as the ambassador for Dartmouth Health being the first point of phone contact regarding requests for primary care, pediatric, and specialty offices at Dartmouth Health Medical Center and Clinics. Provides unexpected moments of kindness while assisting with routine, difficult or emotional situations. Demonstrates behaviors that are professional, calming, empathetic, reassuring and instills confidence providing solution-oriented outcomes. This role supports the community’s need for access to world class care and services focused on helping them to improve their health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for responding to patient related requests regarding routine to urgent issues or life-threatening situations, while maintaining strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information.
- Provides excellent service by being attentive, empathetic, respectful and professional at all times. Follows-through being proactive in identifying and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Accurately documents and effectively communicates with patients, co-workers, physicians and others regarding medical needs using a variety of communication methods.
- Utilizes standard operating processes and applies best judgement to support patient care requests.
- Actively contributes to employee and team engagement.
- Supports new ideas, methods and departmental process improvement efforts.
- Complies with Dartmouth Health policies and standards.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a customer service and or administrative support role preferred.
- Available to work hours and days as needed based on departmental or system demands
- Must be able to sit/stand using computer/phone for extended periods of time
- Proficiency with using multiple software programs and equipment in a fast-paced service-oriented environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal service skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
- Able to be self-accountable with good personal organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work and communicate in a collaborative medical environment.
