Job Description

What will you do?

The Enterprise Architect - Salesforce (Information Technology Consultant 3) serves as consultant on overall analysis & planning for information technology related topics with the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD). Some of the duties of the position include:

  • Working with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Deputy CIO, & Development Manager to establish DODD’s architectural runway in support of strategic goals
  • Leading a team of architects to deliver key results against strategic & tactical objectives
  • Mentoring a team of architects to understand architectural best practices & standards to analyze and recommend approaches to enterprise solutions
  • Partnering with business leaders to better understand DODD’s business capabilities
  • Developing an architecture that will provide sustainable and scalable growth
  • Consulting with DODD Executive & Senior Leadership Teams as needed
  • Consulting on areas such as security architecture, database architecture, network architecture, integration architecture, & enterprise system architecture
  • Learning new technologies & providing critical analysis & direction to ITS Leadership regarding forward looking risks & opportunities
  • Teaching development leads, architects, & management about new technology opportunities that align with DODD ITS strategic goals

Qualifications

Completion of undergraduate core program coursework in information technology, electrical engineering or telecommunications AND 5 yrs. exp. in information systems analysis, design & operations AND 18 mos. exp. in project/program management AND 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in budgeting.

  • Or 12 mos. exp. as Information Technology Consultant 2, 64162.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with Salesforce
  • 2 years of experience with leadership
  • At least 1 year of experience with Scrum &/or other agile frameworks
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • Application Architect
    • System Architect
    • Integration Architect
    • Technical Architect
    • Data Architect

Supplemental Information

  • No additional materials will be accepted after the closing date; in addition, you must clearly demonstrate how you meet minimum qualifications.
  • Hourly wage will be paid at step 1, unless otherwise specified by collective bargaining agreement or rules outlined in the ORC/OAC.
  • The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123-2-02, “Background Investigations for Employment,” outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
  • The final applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to the appointment to test for illegal drug use.
