Description
This cross-functional role combines disability inclusion training, curriculum development, and strategic outreach to expand Lifeworks’ mission and services. The Disability Inclusion Strategist and Outreach Manager will lead the design and delivery of high-quality, accessible training content, represent Lifeworks at key events, and build relationships with businesses, schools, and community organizations. This role plays a critical part in identifying and developing new partnership opportunities, creating inclusive educational content, and aligning outreach efforts with strategic business goals and person-centered values. It bridges education and engagement to ensure Lifeworks’ disability inclusion training and consulting impact continues to grow sustainably and meaningfully.
Position Title: Disability Inclusion Strategist & Outreach Manager
Department: Disability Initiatives
Hours: Full-time 40+ hours/week, Monday – Friday (Exempt)
Location: Hybrid – Based out of Richfield office (1–2 days onsite weekly plus in-person events as scheduled)
Compensation: $75k-$85k yearly

You’ll succeed in this role if you:
- Have experience designing, developing, and delivering training and educational content.
- Are and expert in accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and inclusive pedagogy.
- Facilitate skills for diverse audiences (e.g., employers, educators, public stakeholders).
- Have in-depth knowledge of disability rights, accessibility, and disability culture.
- Demonstrate ability to build strategic relationships and co-create curriculum or programs with individuals and organizations.
- Have strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and CRM platforms.
- Must pass DHS background study and pre-employment drug screening.
How you’ll be spending your time:
- Designing, developing, and delivering disability inclusion training and curriculum across in-person, virtual, and hybrid platforms. Ensuring materials reflect accessibility standards, current best practices, and diverse learning styles.
- Facilitating engaging training sessions and workshops for external audiences, including businesses, schools, and community groups. Representing Lifeworks at conferences and public events as a subject matter expert.
- Identifying and cultivating strategic relationships with stakeholders such as funders, school districts, employers, and nonprofits to expand Lifeworks' reach and co-create relevant, impactful services.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to create outreach and training strategies aligned with organizational goals. Supporting the development of pilot programs and innovative service models.
- Negotiating and managing partnership agreements, including training and consulting contracts as well as contracted subject matter experts. Ensuring compliance with internal policies and track deadlines, renewals, and deliverables.
- Evaluating, training and engagement outcomes, gathering data on reach, effectiveness, and satisfaction. Leveraging CRM tools and feedback loops to continuously improve educational offerings and engagement efforts.
- Contributing to Lifeworks’ innovation initiatives, including cross-training, resource sharing, and cross-departmental collaboration to foster continuous improvement and mission alignment.
- Following safety procedures and ensuring inclusive environments for all participants during events, training sessions, and external engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Education, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in disability inclusion, curriculum design, training facilitation or teaching, and/or community engagement.
- CPACC certification or ability to complete within 12 months upon hire.
- Must pass DHS background study and pre-employment drug screening.
