Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Work closely with the production crew to filter closures through machines, forming them into capsules tailored to customer specifications. This role involves palletizing products and preparing orders for shipment, requiring organizational skills to ensure work orders are correctly stored. Heavy lifting up to 20lbs is part of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines to form closures into capsules based on customer specifications.
• Palletize products and assist in preparing orders for shipment.
• Organize products to ensure correct storage of work orders.
• Conduct heavy lifting up to 20lbs throughout the shift.
• Move pallets using a pallet jack and obtain certification.
• Pour materials from boxes into the machine (Base Tank).
• Maintain production pace and adhere to GMP standards.
• Ensure accuracy in capsule formation and conduct basic quality checks.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform inspections.
• Maintain and conduct quality control tests on the machine.
• Use computer systems for quality tests, inputting necessary data.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience in production or warehouse settings.
• Experience in bottling line or medical device assembly is advantageous.
• Proficiency in machine operation within a production environment.
• Ability to perform basic quality checks with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and good attendance record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with warehouse operations and pallet jack certification.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and following GMPs.
• Proficiency in basic computer tasks for quality control tests.
• Good tenure with no more than 2 jobs in the past 2 years.

Work Environment

Work in a small warehouse/production environment that can be loud due to capsule machines. Collaborate with a close-knit team of four per shift, including leads and managers. Follow a dress code of steel-toed boots, full-length pants or jeans, and no jewelry, fake nails, or lashes. Adhere to GMP standards and use provided hair nets and beard covers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFIELD, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
