Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description

As a CNC Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for producing machined parts by editing, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Your role will include maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping detailed records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will adjust feeds and speeds, read and interpret blueprints, perform first-piece inspections, and have an understanding of G Code and live tooling.

Responsibilities

• Edit, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts.
• Maintain quality and safety standards and keep detailed records.
• Adjust feeds and speeds according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints with strong proficiency.
• Perform first-piece inspections to ensure product accuracy.
• Understand G Code and live tooling for efficient operation.
• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and materials.
• Set up mills by installing and adjusting various components.
• Load feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.
• Maintain specifications by observing and adjusting various machining operations.
• Complete preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in CNC mill programming with Haas milling machines.
• 5+ years of experience using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
• 5+ years of experience reading blueprints and drawings.
• Knowledge of Fanuc control systems, GD&T, and CAM software.
• Understanding of G Code and vertical mill operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Knowledge of setting up mills with various attachments and components.
• Experience in troubleshooting processes and reprogramming controls.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
