Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting, fixing mechanical issues, and maintaining various components within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a desire to learn, and experience in either manufacturing or automotive maintenance. You will also lead a team of 3-6 people, ensuring safety and efficiency on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues.
• Change out components as part of preventive maintenance.
• Work with cam drive systems, gearboxes, conveyors, and various sensors.
• Reset encoders and servos/drives.
• Operate and maintain vacuum pumps.
• Identify and resolve issues when machines run slowly.
• Perform daily safety briefings.
• Manage work roles and maintain production timelines.
• Lead a team of 3-6 people, ensuring work flow and safety.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical technical aptitude.
• Experience with gears, cam, and crank shafts.
• Leadership qualities and ability to lead through influence.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience in preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive mechanics is a plus.
• Ability to explain the workings of a cam or crank shaft.
• Experience in a maintenance role in manufacturing or automotive industries.
• Low voltage electrical experience (24V or below) is beneficial.

Work Environment

This role involves working night shifts on a 3-2-2-3 schedule from 8pm to 8am. Training will be provided, initially during day or night shifts as required. The plant operates 24/7 and houses about 900 employees, offering a large and dynamic work environment. Flexibility in training schedules and onboarding on Mondays is required.

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr.
