Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanic where you will contribute to the service and repair of pumps, ensuring they are clean and ready for field deployment. This role involves dismantling pump power units, cleaning, scraping, and sanding for repainting, with the opportunity to engage in repairs and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disassemble pump power units.
  • Perform welding tasks as needed; training available for candidates without prior experience.
  • Conduct service work on pumps, including pulling hoses and testing machines.
  • Prepare pump systems for repowering by cleaning and scraping.
  • Collaborate with trained mechanics for complex repair tasks and fabrication.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in diesel, assembly, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and use hand tools effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general mechanics, including auto, diesel, marine, or small engine experience.
  • General understanding of electrical systems, with a willingness to learn higher voltage systems.
  • Basic reading and mathematical skills, along with legible handwriting.
  • Possession of a basic set of tools.
  • Reliable transportation.

Work Environment

The role operates Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with on-call duties for service calls. Work is primarily conducted in a shop environment without air conditioning, involving dirty conditions and tasks in the yard. Training on forklift and overhead crane usage is provided. A team-oriented environment requires flexibility and a willingness to assist in various shop duties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
