What Success Looks Like:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Necessity for attention to detail.
- The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
- Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
- Job requires the operator to cut the rubber stock off the mill and to be able to lift it back up to band on the mill
- Must be able to pull a rubber strip(s) approximately 2 to 20 inches wide, from the mill and feed it onto the take-off belt located approximately three feet away
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
- Requires the operator to communicate with the additional staff members
- Operator must demonstrate knowledge of blender and its use
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
- Fill out two-roll safety checklist
- Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures
- Fill out any applicable paperwork
- Cut samples for QA testing
- Clean grease pans weekly
- Keep work area clean
- Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
- Operating a forklift for various functions.
Your Credentials:
- One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- High School or GED preferred
- Willing to work overtime including weekends when required
- Close visual work required.
- Knowledge of general computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour, plus $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.
2nd Shift 2:45pm-11:00pm
