Hiring for Night Shift Maintenance Technician

Location: Charlotte NC

Pay: 34-38/hr

Shift: 7 pm-7 am 223 Shift

Job Description

We are seeking experienced and talented Maintenance Technicians for our evening shift. This is a hands-on position in a rapidly growing manufacturing environment specializing in trash can wheels and trash cans. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of direct manufacturing experience, with experience in plastics injection or blow molding preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unload press and change out injection molding inserts.
• Operate laser machines for the Waste Management system.
• Work on schematics for sensors, presses, and Kuka robots.
• Conduct industrial maintenance with a focus on troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance based on schematics and blueprints.
• Handle electrical systems ranging from 24V DC to 480V, including single and three-phase motors.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of PLC inputs and outputs.
• Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electrical skills for systems between 24V DC and 480V, including single and three-phase motors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with lathe and Bridgeport Mill is a plus.
• TIG, MIG, Stick, or EDM welding skills are desirable.
• Familiarity with automation and the ability to speak Spanish are advantageous but not required.

Work Environment

Our brand-new facility is equipped with advanced machinery, although it is not climate controlled. We have installed Big Ass Fans to ensure a comfortable working environment. The position involves working night shifts with a 12-hour shift schedule that requires five days one week and two days the next week (2 on/2 off/3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off). Overtime may be required depending on production and customer needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
