As a GSE Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and troubleshooting diesel engines on ground support equipment. You will diagnose various issues, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic hoses, compressors, and more. You will travel approximately 50% of the month, primarily driving a work van and occasionally flying. You will work on equipment related to towing planes, refueling planes, as well as handling jacks and other similar items.
Employees enjoy a pro-rated amount of PTO based on their start date and the company covers 50% of benefits. There are opportunities for overtime, working 50 hours a week once trained. The company focuses on training candidates and promoting from within. A per diem is offered when traveling, and all travel and related expenses are covered. All necessary tools are provided by the company.
The position operates primarily during the 1st shift, usually from 7 AM to 4 PM, with most days being 10-hour days. You will be paid for travel time to and from different sites. When traveling, work may occur at an FBO or General Aviation shop, mostly at smaller airports. When not traveling, you will work in a local shop within a newer, temperature-controlled building. Candidates cannot bring their own tools, as all tools are provided.
