Job Title: Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator with welding expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, fabricating custom metal pieces, and ensuring all components meet project specifications. This role is integral to our manufacturing operations, and proficiency in welding and metalworking is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for miscellaneous metal components.
  • Fabricate custom metal pieces, including railings, stairs, handrails, and other structural elements from various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
  • Perform MIG and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
  • Ensure all metal components are welded, cut, and fabricated accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Layout, fabricate, and weld steel products, mainly railings and stairs.
  • Tack weld, full weld, then send items to the paint department.

Essential Skills

  • MIG welding experience (at least one year)
  • Experience with structural or miscellaneous metals
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints with welding symbols a plus (not required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Attention to detail

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing environment without air conditioning. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, with an expected 50-hour work week from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Indiantown, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
