Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft) to join our team on the 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM). You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of production equipment, including electrical repairs and mechanical breakdowns. This role requires a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and offers opportunities to assist in various projects, from facilities maintenance to setting up new production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform industrial maintenance and repair of production equipment.
  • Conduct electrical repairs working with 480v and 3-phase electric systems, motors, circuitry, and schematics.
  • Maintain steam boiler systems, conveyors, presses, and other equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, particularly during night shifts.
  • Assist in facility-related projects and the setup of new production lines.
  • Support plumbing, water treatment, and other maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of industrial/MFG. maintenance experience with a proven track record.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
  • Proficient in hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and conduit installation.
  • Experience in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with shop equipment such as presses, mills, pipe threads, and forklifts.
  • Adherence to safety practices, including lockout/tagout, PPE, confined space, and hot work procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Plumbing skills are desirable.
  • Experience with steam boiler systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with low and high-pressure boilers and steam systems.
  • Welding experience is advantageous.
  • Exposure to highly automated environments, including robotics and PLCs, is a plus.
  • Certifications such as welding or millwright/journeyman are highly desirable.

Work Environment

Work in an industrial manufacturing facility that is organized and safe, although not climate-controlled, which means it can be hot in the summer. Join a team of roughly 50 employees at the Gnadenhutten location, with more colleagues at the Beach City Facility. We specialize in manufacturing insulated vinyl siding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
