Position Summary: Manage IT Project Management and Performance Guidelines, including IT policy, process, procedures, tools, and templates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT Project Management and Performance Guidelines, including IT policy, process, procedures, tools, and templates.
  • Develop, monitor and ensure the IT Department maintains a strategically approved Project Roadmap.
  • Plan, organize, and execute comprehensive Project Management for IT Division projects (Network, Technical, Applications, End User Devices, and Security).
  • Report and track IT Division Performance metrics
  • Oversee support to Clinical Informatics.
  • Manage the annual IT Capital Budget process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and annual budget. Tracks operational budget changes.
  • Collaborate with IT Leadership to initiate and monitor active projects.
  • Manage the Unplanned Project Management process including the IT evaluation.
  • Utilize excellent project management and vendor management skills to ensure agreed-upon deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Ensure IT projects use best-practice PM tools, processes, and reporting.
  • Mentor Project Leads, supervise, train, and evaluate for project excellence; provide liaison and escalation (to business owners and vendors) support as needed.
  • Continuously audit and monitor IT projects for adherence to PM documentation and process.
  • Act as a point of escalation to manage and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Provide IT Division Project and Performance reports to the CIO and other committees.

Operational Performance and Staff Management:

  • Manage staff effectively to ensure strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in personnel management and staff development.

Collaboration with IT Management:

  • Work closely with the Chief Information Officer, Director of Applications, and other IT management to establish stable and secure integrated system solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, Computer Science, or Healthcare; Master's degree preferred.
  • Eight or more years of experience in project implementation, support, and management; technical and healthcare experience a plus.
  • Knowledgeable of application and technical information technologies in healthcare.
  • Familiar with Regulatory and Quality Measures Reporting.
  • Proven experience in clear and diplomatic communication with internal and external teams, stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • PMP certification in active status.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of MS Outlook Applications.
  • Experience with Cerner Millennium application implementations is a plus.
  • Capability to take on additional application and integration management responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives.

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
