As a SAP Developer at Applied Medical, you will play a pivotal role in shaping technical projects and driving innovative solutions. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a talented team to gather requirements, design detailed application architecture concepts, and explore cutting-edge technologies. By leveraging your expertise in SAP development principles, you will craft alternative solutions to ensure our systems meet the needs of end-users while aligning with business objectives.

Your work will involve developing, documenting, and conducting unit testing of software to guarantee seamless performance. You'll manage diverse development tasks and provide technical guidance to support project deliverables and system maintenance. Additionally, your contributions to ongoing project initiatives will ensure technical excellence every step of the way, while researching emerging technologies and evaluating their potential to present impactful ideas.

You will be part of the Application Development team at our European Head office in Amersfoort (NL) and report to the Manager Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage various development tasks related to turnkey projects and ongoing support for the organization
  • Develop ABAP programming objects and configuration including user-exits, reports, interfaces, BAPI, BADI, SmartForms, LSMW, RESTful services using ODATA, and dialog programs
  • Participate in gathering requirements and investigating alternatives. Research and evaluate relevant technologies and present alternative solutions
  • Develop functional and technical specifications. Participate in the development, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
  • At least three years of ABAP programming experience, including user-exits, ALV reports, Web Dynpro, interfaces, workflows, BAPI, BAdIs, Smartforms, Adobe Forms, LSMW, dialog programs, OData, CDS, and HANA views, as well as proven experience with SAP Fiori Applications—both modifying standard ones and developing custom ones
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects, modern ABAP (version 7.40+), and recent experience with SAP S/4HANA across multiple SAP modules, such as FI, CO, PP, PLM, SD, LE, WM, QM, PM, and HCM
  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and project management methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for quickly comprehending technical information, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a collaborative environment

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of advanced SAP technologies such as ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), Fiori Elements, and SAP BTP
  • Understanding and experience in a cGMP validated environment
