What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Senior Coordinator for Marketing & Communications to provide leadership to the marketing, communications, and creative design of all departmental programs and initiatives. This position collaborates with department staff and campus partners to conceptualize and implement messaging campaigns related to orientation and transition programs, student leadership recruitment, and initiatives that support the flourishing of first- and second-year students at Baylor. The Senior Coordinator creates visual designs and written copy across a wide range of media, and plays a vital project management role for the department.

A Master’s degree and one year of relevant work experience is required. A Master’s degree and three years of relevant experience is preferred.

A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

  • All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Lead branding and creative product development for departmental programs, recruitment efforts, and events
  • Create visual assets for social media, print, websites, email, online modules, and digital media
  • Ensure marketing style and messaging align across all communication platforms and adhere to Baylor branding guidelines
  • Oversee video project needs and assets, whether produced internally or in collaboration with institutional or external partners
  • Develop comprehensive student-facing communications plans to engage and inform students—and occasionally families—with effective messaging that supports student success
  • Write / edit copy for email marketing, websites, print publications, video and presentation scripts
  • Build and manage outgoing email communications
  • Work with partners to coordinate messaging across the new student matriculation process
  • Implement creative strategies to support student leader recruitment efforts
  • Participate in the Division of Student Life Communications Work Team
  • Provide leadership for office marketing campaigns, including for welcome programs, new student onboarding steps, student leader recruitment, and first- and second-year student support efforts
  • Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and implement comprehensive campaigns
  • Establish campaign and project timelines and ensure collaborative progress toward completion
  • Liaise with vendors and providers on product and asset timelines
  • Coordinate with campus partners regarding deadlines for requested content
  • Provide in-person staff support for departmental programs, particularly during summer months
  • Alongside others within the team, represent the department at activities such as prospective student events and recruitment activities
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
