ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must possess ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors, regulatory agencies or other team members. Storeroom/Receiving Attendant provides excellent customer service to employees and vendors in all situations. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle to assist in the pickup, delivery, and transferring of goods to and from the warehouses. Counts, sorts, weigh incoming goods to verify receipt of items against shipping notice. Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications. Input stock items into computer and store in the assigned location in or around the warehouse. Physically counts inventory items to verify accuracy on a regular basis. Maintains warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion including sweeping floors, mopping coolers, and dusting shelves. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Regulations. Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred as well as two to three (2-3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening. Must possess ability to effectively present information to senior management. Must possess ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule format. Must possess ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Must possess the ability to operate a computerized inventory system. Must also have 10-key adding machine skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to operate a light duty forklift, hydraulic hand jack, electric pallet jack, electric pallet stacker, 2-wheel hand truck, and a 14 foot box truck. Be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be at least 21 years old or older and be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming and Indiana Horse Racing Licenses.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift 60 pounds unassisted, and 120 pounds assisted. Also required are frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing steps and sitting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
