Coquille, Oregon is a charming city situated along the Coquille River. The area is known for its rich history, beautiful landscapes, and friendly community. The area got its name from the Coquille Native Americans that inhabited the area prior to the 1800’s. The city is located in central Coos County and offers many recreational activities, such as fishing, kayaking and wildlife viewing opportunities. It’s 22 miles from the Oregon Coast and to the south is Myrtle Point and to the north is Coos Bay (Coos County’s largest city).
Position Highlights
The Coos County Circuit Court in Coquille, Oregon, is hiring a Regional Audio/Visual Tech (Information Technology Specialist). This position provides support for Coos, Curry, Jackson, Klamath, and Lake Counties. Main location at this time is Coquille.
In this role…
You will provide Audio/Visual and general Information Technology support to multiple court locations. The support includes (but is not limited to) performing complex A/V application development (including Voice over Internet Protocol OR VoIP, Webex applications, Polycom and utilization of Crestron and Bi amps). Respond to all software, hardware, communications, or data issues. Respond to complex staff inquiries and diagnose and resolve problems in a multivendor environment.
You will assist with configuration of security permissions and add new users to related court systems including email and third-party programs. Provide training and assistance to court users and staff.
Research and test new technology for possible implementation with the designated courts. Work with the Enterprise Technology Services Division to determine the readiness of new applications and if they will need to assist with any training.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified applicant must have at least 4 years of technical experience in the duties and infrastructure support required.
AND
Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management, public administration, or a related field.
OR
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to 8 years of experience that support the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Special Qualifications
(These must be verifiable.)
You must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
AND
Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Crestron products, hardware, tools, and applications.
