As a Development Program Manager, you will serve as the financial and operational backbone of KBP’s new store development and capital improvement efforts. This role manages the end-to-end financial and administrative processes across construction, real estate, and facilities teams — from project budgeting to payment coordination, due diligence, permitting, and vendor engagement.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all capital projects stay aligned with budget expectations, legal compliance, and development timelines. If you're a systems-savvy, detail-oriented problem solver with experience navigating the intersection of finance and real estate development — this is your role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the financial integrity and functionality of development systems, including Lucernex Projects and VX Maintain.
  • Track and reconcile project budgets and actuals across all capital projects, coordinating closely with AP, Treasury, and Construction teams.
  • Lead development budget creation, vendor payment tracking, bid/quote input, lien waivers, and project closeouts.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for AP, Legal, Licensing, and Field Construction regarding invoice disputes, documentation, and approvals.
  • Support real estate due diligence and entitlement processes, including review of contracts, licenses, and permitting documentation.
  • Collaborate with external partners such as brokers, attorneys, architects, and consultants to drive project readiness and execution.
  • Drive cost trend analyses, vendor coordination, and internal financial reporting accuracy across capital projects.
  • Manage key milestone tracking, process documentation, and internal stakeholder alignment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting real estate development or construction projects, with demonstrated ability to coordinate permitting, vendor communication, and project documentation across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, fixed assets, AIA billing processes, and capital budget management.
  • Ability to navigate AP processes, resolve invoice disputes, and manage documentation related to project funding and cost allocations.
  • Familiarity with permitting, licensing, and contract workflows, including tracking signatures and ensuring compliance with development obligations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail in financial reporting and documentation, with experience preparing or organizing materials for leadership review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems such as Workday and Lucernex preferred.
