Position Summary

The Supervisor, Inventory Control ensures accurate inventory management and data integrity while driving efficiency across operations. This role collaborates with teams to implement lean practices, supporting Empower’s mission to deliver affordable, high-quality medications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors item master records, warehouse settings, and Bill of Materials to ensure data integrity while investigating and resolving negative inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinates the movement of consignment items, manages inventory processes, and collaborates with buyers to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Establishes and maintains robust inventory procedures, leveraging lean practices such as 5S and Kanban to improve accuracy and optimize stock levels.
  • Administers the Cycle Count Program, reconciles variances, and provides actionable insights to operating departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Oversees employee performance, collaborates with cross-functional teams on inventory initiatives, and manages additional inventory-related projects as needed.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Proficient in Office 365 and Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as Oracle, with knowledge of safety requirements, industry guidelines, pharmaceuticals, and current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 5 years of experience in inventory and material handling and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
