We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our team in Olathe, KS. This role involves operating various types of forklifts, handling warehouse inventory, and assisting with general warehouse operations. Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary

Work Conditions: Warehouse/Distribution Environment

Travel: None

Telecommute: No

Pay: $16.75 per hour

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Position Summary:

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and preparing products for shipment. Your ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently will contribute to smooth warehouse operations.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift equipment, including various types of lifts.
• Receive and process products into the warehouse.
• Pick and pack products to fulfill orders.
• Prepare products for shipment following warehouse protocols.
• Assist with production assembly as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be forklift certified or willing to obtain certification.
• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
• Basic understanding of distribution center operations.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Reliable transportation and strong work attendance.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in using an RF gun for inventory tracking.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow work instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for inventory management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include standing, bending, reaching, and lifting heavy items for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Internal and External Interaction:

This position requires regular interaction with warehouse staff, supervisors, and occasionally with vendors to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
