The position provides professional services solutions through advanced technical and consultation skills to accurately implement or operate an Enterprise Data Platform centered on Pure products.

Two main engagement patterns anticipated : 1 - project-based participation, building and delivering target solutions based on the customer’s business requirements and technical needs. 2 - participating as part of the customer team over a fixed period, contributing centrally to their implementation or operation focused on Pure products, as well as strengthening knowledge within the customer team.

This role covers both pre-sales (assist) and delivery (implementation or operation), requiring deep knowledge and experience in IT architecture and cloud technologies, along with continuous technical development.

Regarding implementation, involvement ranges from independently handling requirements gathering, progress management, and service delivery, to participating in medium- to long-term projects teamed with project managers. As a Pure product expert with infrastructure domain expertise, you will cover diverse needs such as designing, documentation , automation, scripting and so on that meet agreed scope.

In operation, a broad understanding and experience of customers’ daily and non-routine operations and processes are required. From the Pure (vendor) standpoint, you will support strengthening and streamlining customers’ operational tasks as a knowledgeable expert.

Additionally, through collaboration with customers over a certain period, you will identify new issues and risks for them and contribute to improvement, or provide feedback to the Pre-Sales team for their new business opportunities.

導入に関しては、要件収集、進捗管理、サービス提供を独立して行うことから、プロジェクトマネージャーとチームを組んで中長期プロジェクトに参加することまで幅広く関与します。Pure製品の専門家として、インフラ領域の専門知識を持ち、合意された範囲に合う設計、ドキュメント、自動化、スクリプティングなど多様なニーズに対応します。

運用においては、顧客の日常業務および非定常業務とプロセスに対する広範な理解と経験が必要です。Pure（ベンダー）の立場から知識豊富なエキスパートとして顧客の運用業務を強化し、効率化を支援します。さらに、一定期間にわたる顧客との協力により、顧客にとって新たな課題やリスクを特定し、改善に貢献するか、プリセールスチームにフィードバックを提供して新しいビジネスの機会を見出します。

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Meet the time and quality requirements defined in the Scope of Work (SOW) for the professional services solution.
• Provide technical solutions and deliverables (such as scripts and documents) that meet the responsibilities and requirements promptly, whether working within a team or individually.
• Deeply engage in the customer’s operations for both daily and non-routine operations of Pure products and the Data Platform, and provide skill transfer to maximize their ROI
• Understands prospects' technical needs related to a specific market across local or specific product (i.e. block, virtualized, file solutions, clustering, replication best practice, disaster recovery, business contingency).
• Participates in customer evaluations and proof of concepts on Pure systems to support sales efforts and address future customer needs.
• Advises and consults the sales teams on engineering developments and strategies for replication, clustering and data migrations, ensuring these solutions meet and integrate into our clients DR and BCP best practices.
• Assist, collablate, and evaluates our delivery partner's services to ensure their deliver quality and vector aligns Pure's expectation.
• Attends customer data center occasionally or as appropriate
• Actively participate and contribute to the virtual initiatives and process improvement.

• Pure 製品の検証支援・Lab 環境構築やテスト・社内 IP (KB, 社内パス) を利用した技術調査
• 営業部門に対する Storage データ移行、データバックアップ、DR、Replication 等の技術的なアドバイスや支援を行い、見込み顧客のビジネス要件を満たすことに間接的に貢献する
• Pure のデリバリーパートナーのサービスを支援・協力・評価し、彼らの提供するサービスの品質と方向性がPureの期待を満たすことを明確にする
• 案件に応じた顧客拠点へのオンサイトや一定期間の常駐を伴う
• 組織内の強化や効率化を目的とする新たな試みや既存の変更プロジェクトへ参加・貢献する

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

Technical Experience

• > 3 years of experience directly engage with the enterprise IT infrastructure operation. Managed Service Provider experience is a plus.
• Hand-dirty experience like installation, upgrade, expansion, or developing test environment. FlashArray, FlashBlade experience is a good plus.
• Experience with the majority of below technologies:

Data management architecture and protocols like NFS, CIFS, FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN

Data Migration Implementations for block and file.

Disaster Recovery, Replication, Backup technologies (Zerto / Veeam / Rubrik / Veritas NBU)

Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking

Windows, AIX(nice to have) and Linux Operating systems, Virtualization Tools - Cisco/Hyper-V/VMWare/Nutanix

• Experience and Knowledge of more than 1 of the below related technology domain
• Cyber Security / Firewalls
• Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and other cloud-based offerings.
• Containerization and orchestration tools
• ３年以上の企業向けインフラ運用管理経験（または SIer や Vendor としての関与）
• インフラ関連の実作業経験。導入やアップグレード、検証環境構築等。FA, FB 製品知識と経験があると尚良い

Soft Skills

• Experience for project leader (minimum 2 yrs) and project member (minimum 5 yrs). Familiarity with various project management tools, to assist with delivery
• Strong communication skills (facilitation, negotiation, conflict management skill, assertive communication)
• Strong task management (self) and project (group-mission) driving skill to make things move forward as planned.
• Minimal 3 years as a SME (subject matter expert) / solutions architect. Solution proposal experience is a plus.
• A very good relationship and effective network building skill with every stakeholders (internal & external), ability to influence cross functionally and in a matrix environment
• Experiences for approaching to client CxO or Sr managements to propose the solution identified via the consultative approach toward their business objective is a strong plus.
