Job Description

We are seeking two commercial Carpenter Foremen to lead carpentry and drywall crews on job sites. This role is based in our Grand Rapids office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite leader for all laborers and carpenters on specific assigned projects.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Travel between job sites as needed.
• Complete all jobs assigned on time and within budget.
• Attend startup meetings with the superintendent and estimator/PM to establish labor and special order items.
• Discuss the scope of work and job site conditions.
• Conduct daily huddles and toolbox talks to plan and coordinate daily work.
• Set goals for all team members and record work completed at the end of the day.

Essential Skills

• Commercial carpentry foreman experience
• Commercial carpentry experience
• Proficient in working with all carpentry and drywall hand tools, mechanical tools, and sanding tools
• Ability to read blueprints
• Supervisory experience
• Dependable, professional, and safety conscious

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Texturing and plaster experience
• Ability to complete new commercial construction and remodeling projects
• Ability to work independently
• Team-first attitude

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
