We have an exciting Scale Engineering Technician opportunity in our Guymon, Oklahoma, processing facility. In this highly impactful role, you will be responsible for all related scales, FROM x-rays, metal detectors, and special electronics projects. PLC applications and any projects directed by management. You must have General Mechanical skills, Basic Electrician and Electronics comprehension skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing of weighing systems and related inspection equipment, including but not limited to platform scales, check weighers, x-ray machines, and metal detectors.
  • Supporting specialized electronics projects and basic PLC-controlled systems as assigned by management.
  • Ability to have a strong mechanical aptitude, solid to advanced electrical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and repair electronic circuitry.
  • Able to work safely around energized equipment, systematically troubleshoot faults, and maintain all necessary documentation to regulatory and operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must acquire Authorization/Certification in the following: Forklift, Pallet jack, Lockout/Tag out, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Man lifts or others as required by the Maintenance Department.
  • Must be able to pass the Seaboard Foods Maintenance Test.
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be a self-starter.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of plant equipment or the willingness to learn at a fast pace.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
