Survey Crew Chief

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Westfield. This role involves performing fieldwork for various surveys, conducting construction layout tasks, and maintaining survey equipment. This is a long-term opportunity for someone looking to grow and advance within the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork for topography, boundary, and ALTA surveys.
• Conduct construction layout tasks with precision.
• Read and interpret construction plans accurately.
• Complete survey computations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Process fieldwork and maintain clear, detailed field notes.
• Utilize Trimble surveying equipment.
• Maintain survey equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction layout, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA surveys.
• Ability to submit to drug tests, pre-employment check, and MVR checks.
• Must reside within a 60-75 minute radius of Westfield, IN.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Must pass drug tests, pre-employment check, and maintain a good driving record.

Work Environment

This role involves working outside in the field on survey projects with a high degree of autonomy. The candidate will come to the office every day to pick up their truck. Typical hours start at 7:00 AM every day, with over 40 hours of work per week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
