We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and reliable Customer Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks outside the box, and brings strong communication and technical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—and familiarity with CRM platforms are essential.

Why this Role is Important:

The Customer Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role because it serves as a key point of contact between Budderfly and its customers, ensuring consistent, accurate, and proactive communication regarding various operational aspects of customer programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively notifies a customer portfolio of program operations as it relates to their participation through ticketing and email. The customer portfolio consists of brands assigned to our Customer Success Managers and Customer Advocates:

o AMU Baseline – Creation Notifications

o Utilities Passthrough – Account Reconciliations

o Utilities Billing Redirect & Zero Balance Notifications

o HVAC/R Preventative Maintenance Fees – Account Reconciliations

o Demand Response – Energy Events – Program Participation

  • Provides excellent and timely customer service through phone, email, and chat.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Able to work as a team player and independently.
  • Creative problem solver with ability to multi-task.
  • Passion for energy savings.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Minimum HS Degree.
  • Available Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM/EST
  • Able to start immediately.

Pay band (Non-exempt): $25.48 (53K) - $26.44 (55K)

Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.

Job Location: Shelton, Connecticut (company headquarters). Hybrid Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in office.
