Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior in Miami, Florida

Work You’ll Do

Help companies understand national and international trade requirements and align the trade function with business objectives. Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on global import and export strategies, compliance, and trade automation. Collaborate with attorneys, operations experts, customs brokers, auditors, and trade management professionals to help importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain. Assist clients in assessing and potentially automating their international trade management procedures within all major trading regions. Will commute within the Miami, FL area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law or related field (willing to accept foreign equivalent).
• Eighteen (18) months of experience as Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience conducting analysis on trade processes for multinational corporations.
• Experience must include eighteen (18) months of:
  • providing recommendations to clients on international trade flow organization and import and export processes to comply with U.S. Customs regulations related to topics including valuation, classification, and special trade programs;
  • developing financial models to provide clients with in-depth planning to manage import duties and avoid penalties;
  • preparing documentation capturing business requirements and gap analysis for trade processes;
  • utilizing global trade management software to conduct trade analysis;
  • managing onshore and offshore teams and training on customs requirements;
  • utilizing US CBP Cross database, Descartes CustomsInfo, and USITC to research customs rulings, regulations, and requirements; and
  • mentoring and coaching junior staff.
• Less than 10% domestic travel required outside of normal commuting distance.
